KNPC – MAA REFINERY – MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES – LONG TERM
BASIS FUNCTION
Perform a variety of skilled work on conveyor systems, including repairing /replacement of conveyor belt and Hydraulic system, fluid couplings, winches and associated ancillaries,.
WORK PERFORMED
-Carry out belt splicing, hot and cold vulcanizing and maintenance on conveyors belt .
-Perform maintenance on stackers, reclaimer, telescopic boom and chute and other material handling systems.
-Perform a variety of skilled work on conveyor systems( roller, drive gear box, cut off gate, etc)
-Repairing of Hydraulic pumps, motors and hydraulic control system.
-General machinery alignment and overhauling of small sized centrifugal pumps and reciprocating compressors.
-Perform general house keeping.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
-Twelve (12) years of schooling followed by formal apprenticeship training in machinery work.
-Minimum eight (8) years of hands on experience in overhauling and maintenance of conveyor systems and rotating equipment and such as:
-Repairing /Replacement of Conveyor belts.
-Repairing of Bucket wheel reclaimers
-Repairing of Telescopic boom conveyors, stackers and belt trippers
-Overhauling of Reduction gearboxes
-Overhauling of Hydraulic pumps , motors and Control System.
-General machinery alignment.
-Skills in the use of hand tools, power tools and measuring instruments.
-Working knowledge of reciprocating compressors and single stage pumps would be an added advantage.
-Ability to read, write and speak in English.
