Minimum qualifications / educational levels required for this position
Diploma OR Degree in Mechanical/Industrial engineering.
Selection Criteria
-Minimum 07 years of experience within a District Cooling Plant installation or associated professional area.
-Diploma OR Degree in Mechanical/Industrial engineering.
-Proven knowledge of operational and maintenance requirements of a District Cooling Plant
-Experience in maintaining of large tonnage Centrifugal Chillers.
-Strong background in operations and maintenance of DCP.
-Able to trouble shoot and look for answers in all technical problems.
-Ability to write reports.
-Good command of English – both written and spoken.
-Able to work alone with minimum supervision and within a Team with the confidence to take independent decisions but with the judgment to take advice when required
-Strong background in operations and maintenance of DCP.
-Able to trouble shoot any technical problems.
-Gulf experience preferred
Main Purpose of the Job
Chiller Technician will be responsible in assisting the DCP Supervisor in the day to day operation, monitoring and maintenance of District Cooling Plant including Chillers, Cooling Towers and Thermal Energy Storage system at a major educational institution and residential, as required of El-Seif Operation & Maintenance Services under the terms of the Contract with the Client.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
-Ability to Operate and monitor the District Cooling Plant as per load demand and maintaining the plant efficiency by saving the energy and consumption.
-Operate the whole equipment’s installed in DCP very carefully by competing all rules and regulation of safety and Risks.
-Maintain the whole plant clean and tidy on daily basis and daily visual check of chillers, pumps, pipe lines and other relevant equipment’s.
-Ability to read and understand the any kind of technical submittals, manuals, catalogues, and drawings.
-Monitors a preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities and the mechanical equipment to keep the equipment in good working order and to prevent serious malfunctions in case of system breakdown
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Subordinates
-Perform Maintenance Works on equipment, determining when and what type of maintenance is required
-Determining operating errors and delivering quality solutions to Supervisors.
-Able to administer all relevant Registers and Documents
-Assist Supervisor in ensuring full compliance in the terms and conditions and targeted KPI’s
-Respond to reported issues and coordinate with efficient and effective responses, escalating concerns as necessary along with calculated recommendations
-Understand and adhere to rules and regulations in Departmental Operational Manuals and Employee Handbooks
-Participate in El-Seif Performance Management Reviews, demonstrating a commitment to continued professional development
-Follow and gain 100% compliance for all Company and safety and security policies and procedures; reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications
-Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
