Job Description:
Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience
-University Degree in Engineering / Logistics or equivalent.
-Minimum of 8 years experience, of which 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
-Technical background required.
-Excellent level of verbal and written English.
-Leadership and motivation skills.
-Computer Literate.
-Familiar with Oil / Gas industry related materials specifications and standards.
Safety, health and environmental awareness
-Knowledge of IATA, IMDG Code for handling dangerous and hazardous materials

Primary Purpose of the Job
Supervise and coordinate the activities of materials project and supply services of QP's Project operations at Refinery, ensuring safety and efficiency, as well as dependable provision and delivery at all times.

Principal Accountabilities:
-Supervise day to day activities of project operations and timely delivery of all User requirements, whilst ensuring compliance with procedures and HSE requirements at all times and initiates corrective actions as necessary.
-Ensure all SAP transactions / Stock in Transit are cleared in the system in a timely manner by running appropriate reports to avoid delays to operational activities.
-Ensure adequate facilities and handling equipment is available to meet operational requirements. Monitor housekeeping and ensure a well organized store and yard. Conduct physical checks on methods of storage and handling and make changes wherever necessary.
-Supervise preparation of monthly statistical reports. Provide guidance to staff on technical / nontechnical matters in ensuring User demands are met in a timely manner without causing delay to QP operations.
-Conduct regular checks on the status of temporary storage of text items and report to Head of Warehousing. Ensure that User Departments are reminded of the due dates for withdrawal of materials.
-Provide Section's annual budget requirements, ensure allocated budget is utilized within the operating year, review and monitor monthly expenditure reports.
-Guide Qatari staff on development programmes, prepare PCP / Enhancement Reports as per the schedule and recommend staff for appropriate job related courses / training. Ensure maintenance of proper timekeeping, discipline and office protocol.
-Participate in shutdown / project meetings with User Department and plan for relevant requirements. Ensure materials are received with appropriate documentation and coordinated with End Users on shipment.
-Supervise routine maintenance of materials to limit the deterioration of QP's assets. Coordinate with QA Dept for certification / colour coding of equipment. Implement HSE and QA requirements and submit quarterly reports to Head of Warehousing.
-Carry out operational activities in accordance with overall objectives, as well as per QP's policies and procedures and ensuring that QA & HSE safety and environmental regulations are enforced.
