Qualification & Experience
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering from a reputed university.
Experience:
More than 7 years of experience in the Electric Transmission System of which minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in the area of Electricity Control Systems at STATE Transmission Control Centre.
-Good knowledge about international standards and Kahramaa standards and practices.
-Has good experience in switching operations and commissioning procedures of HV / EHV equipment considering the safety rules of power system operation and has enough knowledge about different types of testing required before, during and after energizing.
-Good experience in Commissioning of Substations.
-Good interpersonal skills and maturity of judgment.
-Fluent in English correspondence.
-Computer literate and presentation skill.
Major Duties
-Ensures the safety, reliability and security of the electricity generation and Transmission network, by supervising the entire electricity supply process from the Dispatch Centres utilizing the SCADA software.
-Participates in ensuring the operation of the Grid Control centre and supports the Snr. Engineers in the supervision activities within the Dispatch Centres.
-Directs the switching operations by giving instructions to field engineers for switching in the Transmission network and primary substations for commissioning activities.
-Issues Permit to Work (PTW), Sanction for Test (SFT), isolation & earthing certificates and other safety documents as per requirement for work in the field and ensures appropriate safety standards.
-Identifies and reports any faults that may occur, as observed from the DGCC / NCC control room.
-Attends to system faults and takes the necessary proactive decisions to restore the system back to its normal working conditions, thereby restoring the supply (in case of power failures) at the earliest.
-Keeps management informed about important events and abnormalities, coordinates with various Sections of the Electricity Control Systems department.
-Participates in the preparation of technical and statistical reports on a frequent basis to keep management and other internal stakeholders abreast of Kahramaa network performance.
-Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the national Control Centre Sections are in line with Kahramaa HSE regulations.
-Performs other related duties as needed upon request / instruction by the immediate supervisor.

Control Centre at Power Generation Station OR Extra High Voltage (EHV) Substations are not acceptable
