CUSTOMER SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Core Functions:
To assist the concerned engineers in all the telecom technical activities as well as to initiate independent actions as far as possible
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
-The above primary purpose is realized by assisting in the following functions on each of the separate telecom media utilized in the telecom network.
1. Preventive maintenance
2. Fault Attendance
3. Testing of spares received
-As each of the media utilized for achieving the primary purpose is completely different technically, the activities for each type of equipment differ. Brief description of activities and duties with respect to separate systems are provided below.
1. Power Line Carrier Equipment (PLC)
Here the duties include assisting and participating in routine maintenance of analogue equipment using selective level meter and selective level oscillator to check various levels of AF, IF, & RF frequencies for both Transmitter and Receiver.
Data Analyzer is used for checking the BER of Data circuits. For digits PLC, similar tests are conducted using a PC and proprietary software
2. Fiber Optic Equipment
The duties include assisting and participating in the testing of various parameters on both transmitter and receiver side of the optical line equipment using Hand held Terminals. Also Power budget as well as attenuation are checked using optical time domain reflect to meter as well as power meter.
4. GPRS Equipment
Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor.
Qualification Requirements:
Education & Training
Higher Secondary with technical certification or related courses.
Job Experience
Minimum 8 years experience
