ELECTRICITY SYSTEMS CONTROL
Core Functions:
-Maintenance and up-keeping of Energy Management System which is part of National Control Centre (NCC).
-Maintenance and up-keeping of Distribution Control System which is part of Distribution Control Centre (DCC).
-Maintenance of Substation Control System.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Locating and clearing faults in NCC Energy Management System as:
-Distributed computer system network of servers and work stations.
-DECHUB 900.
-Heavy duty UPS system.
-Video Projection System.
-Mapboard Controllers.
-Panel of recorders controlled by PLC.
-Telemetry Front END systems.
-Communication Front END systems.
-Line printers.
-Laser printers.
-Data loggers.
-More than 90 NCC Remote Terminal Units in Primary Substations all over Qatar.
-More than 180 Battery chargers in Primary Substations all over Qatar.
-Data Communication System.
-Visual Display Units.
-Alpha Servers.
-Alpha Stations.
-NCC Software Maintenance such as Data base Modifications, Display Modifications, System Software Maintenance etc.
Locating and Clearing Faults in Distribution Control System in DCC such as:
-Distribution Control Centre Computer System .
-More than 75 DCC RTU's in Primary Substations All over Qatar.
-Data Communication Network
-UPS Systems.
-Display Controllers.
-Visual Display Units.
-Printers, Loggers and other PERIPHERALS.
-DCC Software Maintenance such as Database Modification, Display
-Modification, System Software Maintenance.
Qualification Requirements:
B. Sc. / B.E. in Computer Engineering/Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Degree (Full Time course) from a recognized University.
Job Experience
Minimum 7 years experience in the relevant field.
Training:
Specialized Software Training required in areas such as: EMS System Software / EMS Application Software / EMS Database Management (RDBMS & Hierarchical) / EMS Display Management / Configuration and Maintenance of Remote Terminal Units / DCS System Software / DCS Database and Display Management / Substation Control System (Hardware & Software).
