Qualifications:
-Three years diploma of associate engineer in mechanical technology or
-B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
Duties
-Inspection for Installation of Rotating Equipment include padding Elevation, Position, Orientation, Levelness, Lube oil Flushing Inspection, Preliminary shaft alignment, and Final shaft alignment and Solo run of Motor , Mechanical Runs Test of Pumps, Compressor, F.D Fan for boiler , Air Blowers monitor the various parameters such as Vibration, Bearing temperature, Noise, Flow and Pressure during first start up.
-Inspection for Installation of Static Equipment include Padding elevation, Position, Orientation, Verticality, Levelness, Platform & ladder, Vessel Internal work, Vessel Box-up, etc.
-Rotating equipment reverse/face & rim alignment, soft foot check motor solo run & run out/axial float check, piping to RE alignment, flange parallelism/offset & pipe strain & pipe spring support setting should not exceed the tolerance specified
-Ensure that all Static equipment Alignment, leveling, verticality & plumpness, bolt tightening ,foundation grouting, chipping & padding
-Inspection for preservation, Soft foot / coupling preliminary alignment, coupling Final alignment with & without pipe connection by face enter / reverse alignment methods (RIM & FACE, TIR Values, DBSE with Dial gauges / inside micrometer ) and Levelness checking of Soleplate mounted / Channel mounted vertical pumps, Compressors using master level and Fin fan coolers alignment, Blade Angle, Tip clearance etc. Works as a part of a team and ensures the completion of all mechanical activities on site as per client’s requirements.
-Responsible for the inspection activities independently and to ensure a timely and efficient inspection and quality of vendor/suppliers, subcontractors and independent inspectors.
-Co-ordinate with the COMPANY representative on schedule, inspection and expediting control and issues.
-Preparation/Issuing of Non-conformance and corrective action report (NCR & CAR) and review proposed disposition submitted by concerning parties (i.e. vendors) and monitor rectification & closing NCR/CAR items.
-Contributing support for static & rotating equipment to pre-commissioning & commissioning for flawless start up initiatives for mechanical flange joint integrity, zero leakage for piping connection to equipment, & preservation of equipment.
-Manage the punch listing activities issuing/closing & classifying their categories A, B, C & D in accordance to their criticality for static & rotating equipment prior to client final walk down for pre-commissioning.
-Witness of alignment, orientation and dimensions of installed piping
-Witnessing the Hydro testing of the pipe lines, drums and vessels.
-Adhere to the Engineering Procedures, Quality Control Procedures (QCP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), with relevant QC forms, Method Statements (MS) and risk assessments.
-Supervise for the erection/ installation of rotating and static / package equipment
-Monitor setting up rotating equipment and auxiliary component, Power Plant Generator, Steam Turbines, Steam Generator, Waste Heat Recovery Boiler, Heat Exchanger, Centrifugal pumps, Cryogenic pumps, Oil Purifiers, Compressors and monitor the installation of Oil & Fuel supply and return piping system, air lines and water cooling system
-Inspection and installation of belt conveyor complete with test and commissioning.
-Witness inspection of installation and alignment of mechanical equipment (Static) i.e. vessel /columns, reactors, shell & tube heat exchangers, plate exchangers, tanks, drums, air filter, lube oil & auxiliary seal system, dosing package, heaters, cold box and cooling towers as per international codes, standard specifications and practices.
-Supervise control erection of contractor for the erection / installation of mechanical static & rotating equipment such as reactor, column, drums, exchangers, reboilers, condenser, vent stack, volume tank, analyzer house, pumps and compressor, agitator, air cooled heat exchanger, and other related equipment. Responsible for the inspection and preparing report on static and rotating equipment.
-Clearing of MCC (Mechanical completion certificate) items.
-Ensure to have a preservation log for all the equipment checked and monitor daily / weekly for easily tracking the status.
-Works closely with the related engineering departments to develop corrective procedures and analyze results and findings of all inspection activity.
-Receive the RFI (Request for Inspection) from the discipline staff and carry out the inspection of Rotating and Static equipment as per the ITP, identify any discrepancies and generate the Non Conformance Report.
-Check inspection and testing tools/equipment/instruments are properly calibrated before use. Prepare QC surveillance report found during daily monitoring and or witness inspection.
-Conduct operational and functional test, load testing of overhead cranes.
-Implementation of approved project specifications and standards, API and other related industry codes and standards for the erection/installation of static and rotating equipment.
-Prepare walkthrough packages and maintain all the inspection records related thereto.
-Monitor the mechanical work for conformance with the provision of the contract document and procedure manuals.
-Witness the receiving inspection of equipment at site and prepare inspection report.
-Responsible for the issuance of internal Non-Conformance Report (NCR) for discrepancies as per Approved Project Specifications or API Standards.
-Witness and monitor the testing of all equipment associated to the project scope.
