Qualifications
-Mechanical Engineering Degree with 10 years experience in similar field (Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries)
-Priority for Having PMP (project Management Professional)
-Familiar with relevant design software packages.
-Proficiency in English (spoken, written and reading).
-Basic computer and computer application knowledge.
-Willingness to work extended hours.
-Be available for call in duty as required.
Job Description:
-Preliminary and detailed engineering of new Mechanical related jobs and modification of existing facilities requested by other departments. Which includes Engineering design, preparation of drawings, bill of materials, estimation and costing, preparation of contracts for execution of jobs, selection of contractors, procurement of materials if required, coordination with contractors during execution and follow up the job in order to complete according to the owner's requirements. Monitoring of field activities to ensure the quality and material compatibility and conformity.
-Provides technical expertise and improvements for rotating and non-rotating mechanical equipment, i.e., pumps, compressors, valves, piping and pressure vessels in respective fields
-Provides plant with latest mechanical engineering technology required to support mechanical equipment under the jurisdiction of maintenance and production management.
-Reviews and prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, and reports for defining equipment problems and makes recommendations for improvements.
-Develops engineering advice for solutions to equipment problems.
-Assists the rotating and non-rotating mechanical equipment specialists in the analysis and solutions to mechanical equipment problems.
-Develops equipment improvement ideas and issues reports and makes recommendations for improvement.
-Leads study and investigation teams when analyzing and recommending improvements.
-Reviews equipment repair reports and suggest recommendations for improvement as required.
-Have basics knowledge in Inspection, Vibration Analysis, Balancing and Lubrication.
-Preparation of technical plans and schedules and operational projects and the important follow up their implementation and ensures conformity of the implementation of the plans, specifications and propose solutions to the deviations.
-Prepare and review designs and specifications for tenders and the preparation of mechanical work related documents, and participate in the analysis of bids and tenders.
-Preparation of technical evaluation of existing and new equipment as part of the graphics and its technical specifications and provide the necessary reports on the results of this assessment.
-Implementation of the engineering studies for improving and developing methods of operation and maintenance of equipment and raises their efficiency and provides economic and technical evaluation of the proposed development works.
-Systems and follows the rules and instructions of safety and health, the environment and make the necessary arrangements to protect himself and others while maintaining the company's assets and property.
