We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Highway Engineer based in Doha, Qatar. Working in a multidisciplinary team, this is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their international experience with a rapidly evolving organization.
Responsibilities
-Assume responsibility and represent the road design department for all aspects related to highway engineering.
-Provide leadership in all relevant departmental functions.
-Lead external & internal coordination pertinent to highway inception & design.
-Review, comment / recommend acceptance or otherwise of related consultants’ submissions.
-Comprehensive responsibility for management and control of related functions in in-house projects, including detailed scope definition and initiation, work progress and completion and staff management.
-Performance of actual design duties when directed.
-Performance of other related duties as per management instructions.
Essential Requirements
-BSc / B.Eng or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering from an institute of repute.
-15 years of demonstrable experience in design & construction of highway projects, with satisfactory exposure to all related disciplines, and management capacity in the last 5 years.
-In depth knowledge of American & British standards related to infrastructure engineering.
-Excellent written & spoken communication in English.
-Excellent management, problem solving, communication & negotiation skills.
-Presentation to technical & non-technical audiences.
-Proficiency in using relevant engineering tools and software.
Desirable Requirements
-Master degree in relevant specialization from an institute of repute.
-Satisfactory experience in a variety of civil engineering disciplines.
