Job Purpose
To provide Design/Drafting services to the company incompliance to company guidelines/procedures and Engineering Standards by preparing design packages for projects/non project(MOC) services as per agreed schedule and man-hour estimates, ensuring that Design/Drafting services are delivered reliably, on time, while maintaining the highest level of quality & Safety standards and professionalism.
Key Accountabilities
-Development of workable Engineering Design Drawings with Bill of Materials for Projects and Non project(MOC) services from Conceptual sketches and Basic Engineering Scopes,toensure design packages are delivered as per Drafting Standards specification, Company Procedures and Safety Regulations.
-Develops alternative designs as required to accomplish work in the most efficient manner.
-Submittal of packages for engineers review as part of project/Non Project(MOC) services review cycle ensuring customer interface for the delivery and quality of services.
-Maintain & Retrieves necessary drawings from EDMS.
-Perform Comprehensive critical review of design packages done by fellow Designers toensure the Design packages are in compliance with procedure and standards the quality is maintained.
-Perform comprehensive critical review of drawings done by fellow CAD Operators.
-Review of "As-Built" drawings as required and develop / maintain drawing files. IN ORDER TO ensure complete and up-to-date records of all "As-Built" drawings.
-To plan, organize and lead group of CAD Operators in the provision of finished designs, drawings and sketches for all new projects and modifications.
-Ensure accuracy & completeness of generated drawings.
-Handle complex design assignments in consultation with engineers and customers.
-Prepares Daily Activity Report for the work performed.
Strategic Contribution:
-Ensure compliance with drafting standards, specifications, company procedures and safety regulations.
-Prepares Bill of Materials (BOM) from drawings.
-Prepares project drawings/data sheets for a particular discipline using established drafting standards, techniques and procedures.
-Maintains complete and up-to-date records of detailed design work status and updates.
-Performs site verification surveys, prepare field sketches and determine missing information required to complete the job.
Strategic Planning & Alliances:
-Review of "As-Built" drawings as required to ensure complete and up-to-date "As-Built" drawings.
-Submission of Packages for engineering review as part of the project/Non Project(MOC) services review cycle and modify further as required, ensuring customer interface for the delivery and quality of design packages.
Stakeholder / Network Management:
Works with project engineers and support engineers in implementing plant modifications and expansion projects.
Continuous Improvement:
-Define the nature of problems and adapt approaches or solutions using significant elements of judgment.
-Keep abreast of development in Design technology, evaluate improvement potential and assist line management to ensure effective utilization of the current technology and improve services to meet customer satisfaction.
People Management:
-Training and Development of Designers and CAD Operators by providing on Job Training,for knowledge building and developing staff competency and technical capabilities.
-To plan, organize and lead group of Designers in the provision of finished designs, drawings and sketches for all new projects and modifications.
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma/Associate Degree (Below Bachelor).
Minimum Experience
10 years of Drafting/Design experience.
Job Specific Skills
-Excellent knowledge in Eng Standards CAD Software, & SAP System.
-Excellent knowledge in MS Office and Windows OS.
-Excellent Communication, Interpersonal & Coordination Skills.
-Knowledge of EDMS and SAP to perform.
-Knowledge of Procedures & Engineering Standards.
-Knowledge in International Codes & Standards.
-Ability to work under pressure & tight schedules.
