Main Purpose of the Job
The Head of Department is responsible to carry out the directives of the Project Manager and to monitor, coordinate and give technical support regarding the operation and maintenance of the projects.
Main Competencies required for the Position
-Degree qualified Professional Mechanical / Electrical Engineer
-Minimum 15 years experience at least 10 years in managing the operation and maintenance of mechanical services in similar facilities and District Cooling Plants.
-Shall possess valid driving license.
-Proven track record of following projects from inception to completion.
-Strong leadership ability and personality
-Customer service oriented
-Proven technical problem solving skills.
-Gulf experience must.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
-Manage the operation and maintenance of District Cooling Plant, Reverse Osmosis Plant, HVAC System, Piping Network, water features, Solar Plant, lifting station and pump stations.
-Implementation of O & M Manuals, log sheets, PPM Check list and PPM Master Plan for department.
-Ensure quality of mechanical services is in accordance with set standards, health and safety regulations and objectives.
-To cooperate with the supervisors/operators/technicians and supply technical support in updating work schedules.
-To cooperate with other Departments and give technical support for inventory of spare parts and consumables.
-Monitor and witness commissioning of all new Mechanical engineering services.
-Evaluates project teams and guides them accordingly.
Selection Criteria
-Operation and Maintenance of mechanical works in large projects.
-Operation of Planned Preventive Maintenance System and day-to-day reactive works.
-Strong experience with Chiller plants, HVAC systems, Solar systems, RO plants, Pumps and Pumping stations, piping networks etc.
-Proficiency in English language.
-Strong computer skills.
-Report writing.
