Summary of Role
Carry out installation, operation, troubleshooting of all plumbing works on site as instructed by supervisors
Key Accountabilities
-Studies, Understands Chilled Water (or Fire Fighting / Compressed air line ) pipe system layout drawings, and prepares BOQ of materials (pipes, fittings, supports, hangars) required to execute the job.
-Identifies / Issues requisition for the correct tools and tackles to execute the job.
-Cuts pipe to the correct length, using saws, pipe cutter, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine.
-Threads pipe, using pipe threading machine, bends pipe using pipe bending machines.
-Installation of machines and equipment’s like, Air Handling Units, Fan Coil Units, Valve Assemblies, pumps etc.
-May weld pipe supports to structural steel members
-Inspect, examine, or test installed systems or pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods
-Maintain highest level of discipline among assigned workforce and ensure strict adherence to site work timings
-Strictly adhere to the HSE policies and procedures of AF Engineering to achieve the company’s goal of “NO Lost Time Injury”
Job Specification / Know-how
Certificate in Pipe Fitter / ITI in Plumbing
Experience:
Certificate in Pipe Fitter
Technical Skills:
-Communication skills
-Multi-Tasking
-Hardworking and punctual
Desired Candidate
-At least 2 years’ experience in building MEP projects
-Preferably experienced in GCC countries on high-raise building or hotels or airport projects
