JOB DESCRIPTION
-Performs maintenance on all types of laboratory equipment.
Performs maintenance on all types on-line analyzers such as Gas Chromatography, BS&W, Salt in Crude, Oil in Water, H2S, O2, HC gas, moisture, color monitors and the like used in oilfields/Petrochemical.
-Diagnoses problems with analyzer and associated equipment.
SKILL LEVEL DESCRIPTION
-Have Diploma in Instrumentation/ Electronics/Electrical with four (4) years of experience of which two (2) years in similar position or Secondary school certificate plus two (2) years technical training certificate with total experience of seven (7) years of which three (3) years in similar position.
-Have experience in installation and maintenance and repair of different types of analyzer as listed above.
-Experience on Engine Management system.
-Skilled to check, calibrate and repair, hydraulic Instruments, electronic instruments, Vibration system, Speed probes and controls and protective interlocks.
-Exposure to some of the following:-
-Anti-Surge Control.
-Vibration system including Bentley Nevada System 1.
-Variable Speed Drives.
-Protective system, startup /shutdown sequences, vibration and governing system of Gas Turbines such as GE/Rolls Royce/Ruston and reciprocating compressor such as CB like.
-Have skill to identify faults and repair different type of detectors and associated circuitry used in the analyzers.
-Familiar with chemical components and chemical reaction.
-Familiar with Oil industry Safety standards.
-Be able to speak, read and write English.
