Job Description
The Valves removal supervisor shall be responsible and to ensure the safety and safe execution of assigned task as per schedule throughout the job cycle as per procedures. He will be remain accountable for the job schedule compliance and tracking of valves.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
-Ability to lead team or group to perform assigned task.
-He should familiar to work on site to remove the valves & Re-installation after overhauling/testing.
-Perform hands-on workshop and / or on-site disassembly, inspection, reporting, cleaning, and reassembly of valves and actuators.
-Good knowledge in trouble shooting of valves and familiar repair procedures and testing standards.
-Ensure work and used materials comply with manufacturer specifications.
-Read and interpret schematics for assembly, repair, and reassembly as required including completion of applicable quality documentation in either paper or electronic form.
-Familiar with valve material and weld repair procedures. –
-Perform day-to-day and routine safety observations and inspections.
-He should have capability to handle at least group of 10 technicians
-Coordinate of team activities.
-Serves as interface between staff and team.
-Coaches individual team members to maximize team productivity.
-Ensures all team members understand. Meet team target and business goals.
-Follow up Inspection, testing, paint, and repair of plant safety and control valve equipment.
-Ensure all valves are being tested and repaired as per manufacturer’s recommended procedures, plant standards, and ASME code.
-Record and maintain test data and repair history (Preventive/ Predictive Maintenance) on all Pressure Relief Devices and Control Valves.
-Maintain drawings, vendor data, test equipment, sizing records, logbook, etc., for safety valve shop.
-Familiar with EH&S policies, and procedures compliance. (Safety training, work practices).
-Responsible for housekeeping in work area/shop.
-Cleaning and maintenance of SV shop equipment and tools. (SV test stands, roto blaster, lapping machine, test gauges, etc.)
-Field inspection of safety valves/control valves when needed.
-Field calibration (test) of boiler steam safety valves.
-Availability for callout during off hours.
-Assist operations in performing equipment repairs, preparing equipment for maintenance and returning equipment to service after maintenance.
Qualifications:
-Diploma in Mechanical or High school education required.
-Two to five years experience in the testing and repair of safety and control valves.
-Basic skills and knowledge of instrument repair (emphasis on control valves and valve positioning.)
-Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Demonstrated positive safety attitude and willingness to work within the scope of team concept.
-Ability to learn and improve skills.
-Equate experience preferred.
