Key Accountabilities:
-Product design, development & Design validation as part of continuous improvement based on market intelligence or customer feedbacks.
-Planning resource requirements such as manpower, software, hardware etc for preparation of annual budgets.
-Meeting deadlines and scheduled dates for design & technical submissions in line with monthly, yearly production & sales targets through effective utilization of available resources.
-Maximize utilization of slow moving stocks in order to reduce statutory provisions.
-Implementation and adaptation of IEC, OES & ISO 9001 standards as part of Design, Engineering & Quality Policies.
-Implementation of Design Standardization in areas of busbar & sheet metal fabrication, busbar assembly etc.
-Continuous improvement in Product Design so as to improve Product Quality in line with customer requirements.
-Maintenance of Health, Safety and Environment at the work place in line with statutory requirements and global best practices.
-Staff recruitment, appraisal, training and development.
-Employee motivation and management of internal grievances towards creation of a healthy work environment throughout the department.
Specific Objectives and Performance measurement criteria:
-Achievement of sales targets by means of timely response to customer queries, providing designs, solutions & technical submissions.
-Achievement of cost reduction targets through design rationalization & standardization.
-Achievement of targets towards utilization of slow moving inventory
-New product development
-Timely performance appraisal of employees
-Planning and Initiation of employee recruitment & training
Minimum Qualifications & experience (cannot be diluted):
-Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
-10 years’ work experience in Switchgear industry.
-Minimum one year independent charge of switchgear design operations
-Knowledge of Switchgear products, enclosure systems, international standards
Apart from provided Job descriptions, need to have the following exposure also.
-Need exposure on TESTING & QA/QC
-Need exposure on Product development & R&D
-Need exposure on QHSE / QMS/ IMS / MR / INTERNAL AUDITOR
