Job Description:
OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)

Position Summary:
The Operations Manager is a top management position responsible for directing and coordinating the daily operations of the entire business operations.
The incumbent is responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure that the company meets its strategic goals and business targets. He is expected to exercise executive leadership in steering the entire organization into achieving its growth targets and in establishing strong culture and systems built on excellence. He is also expected to promote good manufacturing practices which cover productivity, efficiency, quality, Health/Safety/Environment, among others.

Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibility
-Formulates and executes strategies required to drive business growth and achieve set targets.
-Develop and implement programs and enabling systems necessary to build a strong culture based on high performance, accountability, quality, safety, and teamwork

General Management Responsibility
-Formulates and implements the over-all business and operational plans required to achieve the company’s over-all strategic directions.
-Formulates and administers the company-wide budget through efficient utilization and regular monitoring.
-Establishes and implements effective system and process of measuring and monitoring the performance of the company, and provides regular reports to the owners.
-Coordinates and collaborates with all units to ensure smooth functioning of the plant and to resolve issues and concerns affecting plant operations.
-Manages the performance of all assigned staff by clarifying authorities and accountabilities, setting work goals and by regularly monitoring, measuring, and reviewing these goals against actual results.
-Conducts staff coaching, mentoring, training, giving constructive feedback, assigning special tasks or projects, and other development strategies to improve staff potential.
-Provides regular reports to Management about the plant operations.
-Champions the continual development of people by leading the formulation and implementation of various training and development programs.

Business Development
-Creates and pursues business opportunities for penetrating and establishing strong presence in the target market
-Establishes and nurtures business relationship with potential and existing clients.
-Leads the business negotiation with existing and potential clients. 
-Manage the generation of customer responses based on documenting, approving, and reviewing opportunities and their related response plans
-Maintain and extend customer relationships throughout the business acquisition cycle to maximize value offered and delivered to the customer.
-Develop, review and recommend sales and marketing plan that covers strategies on promotion, pricing, distribution, etc., among others.

Company Operations
-Sales and Supply Chain Management. Oversees the operations of the entire company and provides leadership in sales and supply chain management function which includes sales planning and negotiation, material planning and inventory control.
-Production. Oversees the entire production cycle/process and ensure that the production targets are achieved.
-Maintenance. Establish and implement an effective system for the corrective and preventive maintenance of all plant machinery and equipment to ensure their safe and efficient use.
-Design. Oversees the design and development process ensuring that all drawings are made according to customer specifications and in accordance with necessary standards.
-HSE. Formulate, promote, and implement effective Health, Safety and Environment policies standards and programs. 

Risk Management
-Identifies and assesses the various related risks within the plant which include Health, Safety and Environment.
-Monitors identified risks and establish effective controls and countermeasures to manage these risks.
-Provides Management with regular reports on the status of the identified risks.

Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE)
-Establish and promotes Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or other relevant global best practices.
-Champions / promotes the practice of Quality Management within the company.
-Complies with requirements of ISO 9001:2008 Standard ensuring that all activities are consistent with set standards, policies and procedures and making it sure that non-conformances are rectified and corrective actions are implemented.
-Champions continual improvement of plant operations.
-Ensures the company’s compliance to Quality and Health and Safety policies and standards.
-Drives and monitors closure of any QHSE issues within the company.

Job Qualifications
Education and Training: 
Graduate of Business or Engineering course.

Work Experience:
At least fifteen (15) years of total experience in business development, sales and/or marketing and at least five (5) years relevant managerial experience in managing a business unit in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Attitudes
-Knowledge of proven strategies, best practices and techniques for growing a manufacturing business and effective plant operations.
-Knowledge of ISO standards for Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2008 or most recent .version).
-Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
-Knowledge in ASME and IEC standards applicable for temperature sensors.
-Strategic management skills
-Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
-Ability to present ideas and concepts to an audience using effective presentation and facilitation techniques.
-Ability to read and interpret relevant technical drawings and designs.
-Result-oriented individual with strong focus on business, cost, quality and safety.
-High level of energy to enable the incumbent copes up with the stressful demands of plant operations.
-Fluent in conversational and written English.
