OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)
Education Requirement:
-Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 12 years of experience in a similar industry and 5 years in the same position.
-Gulf Experience preferred. Experience in performing Heavy Rigging / Lifting Operations in an Oil and Gas industry.
Job Purpose:
To supervise and organize rigging activities and heavy lifts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
-Preparation of work permits.
-Conduct tool box meetings.
-Lead a team of foreman, chargehands & riggers for execution of rigging activities.
-Preparation of the look ahead schedule.
-Plan & schedule labour, material and equipment efficiently and within set time frames.
-Assist the chief supervisor in implementation of safety and quality plans.
-Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
-Advice department heads on improvement opportunities.
-Supervise heavy lifting operations.
-Participate & assist the supervisors in the preparation of lifting / rigging plans.
-Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA):
-An expert in the area of rigging.
-Should be a good communicator.
-Able to work in a team environment.
-Good working knowledge of health & safety issues.
-Good leadership skills and lead the team of riggers keeping safety as high priority.
-Should possess very good interpersonal skills
Technical Competencies:
-In-depth knowledge of lifting/rigging procedures and processes.
-Strong knowledge of lifting plan/load chart
-Good knowledge of measurements
-Good knowledge of crane positions (rear/side)
-Assisting riggers & chargehands
-Knowledge of handling safety incidents as per proper guidelines.
