Competency Requirements
Qualification:
Degree in Instrumentation Engineering
Degree should be from an NBA approved university or college.
Experience:
Minimum 12 years of experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning of oil & gas facilities.
Other Skills:
-Multi-discipline background in engineering.
-Leadership and managerial skills.
-Troubleshooting capabilities.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in spoken and written English.
-Ability to work well under pressure.
-Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
-Report writing and presentation skills.
-Emerson DeltaV system experience is an added advantage
Responsible For:
Project Description: Alghanim International, Kuwait is looking for a competent and well experienced Commissioning Instrumentation Engineer for one of its projects awarded by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). This project is currently under execution and it will be commissioned in March 2020. It is an upstream oil, gas and water separation project with main focus on water separation, water treatment and pumping through RTRP network. Alghanim International is executing the project on 4 out of the 10 Gathering Centers located in Burgan Oilfield of South Kuwait. Treated effluent water will be pumped to an existing facility of KOC for disposal/injection of effluent water produced from Gathering Centers.
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for verifying completion of works related to pre-commissioning and commissioning.
-Responsible for managing a team to deliver safe, optimal and environmentally sound pre-commissioning / commissioning and startup of a facility.
-Responsible to execute the pre-commissioning/commissioning of facility (Utility and Process) with client approved procedures.
-Maintaining relationship and co-ordinate with the Clients and vendors for all pre-commissioning/ commissioning activities.
-Co-ordinate with other discipline commissioning engineers, instrumentation team and Plant operators for smooth and scheduled completion of pre-commissioning/commissioning activities.
-Ensuring that all materials, spare parts and safety devices & equipment are in place prior to pre-commissioning and commissioning.
-Shall be fully experienced in equipment interlocks, cause & effects and logics.
-Shall be aware of in plant operations and sequence of operations (process and utilities).
-Responsible to perform site acceptance test (SAT), functional test, loop test, cause and effect, interlock test, etc.
-Shall be fully experienced in wide range of instrumentation systems and equipment in the plant such as DCS, ESD system, F&G system, control valves, transmitters, analyzers, indicators, control systems, etc.
-Shall be fully experienced in fine tuning of instruments.
-Shall ensure adequate availability of resources for pre-commissioning/commissioning.
-Responsible for preparing pre-commissioning/commissioning reports and approval from the Client.
