MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure that detailed quality related activities are undertaken in compliance with Kentz Integrated Management system.
JOB OBJECTIVES
-Maintain detailed records of all QA/QC personnel, such as CV, Certification, training etc.
-Coordinate with Business Unit Managers to ensure the projects are adequately manned with QA/QC personnel
-Recruit suitably qualified personnel for the department which satisfy the needs of both the project and the client.
-Carry out audits at both project and Business Unit level verifying the company’s adherence to the QA/QC sections of the IMS
-Prepare the initial Project QA/QC Plans for the initial submittal for client approval
-Maintain accurate records of project and Business Unit performance in relation to NCR’s IN’s, PQI, etc.
-Communicate regularly with BUM’s and insure that all reports generated in the QA/QC department appertaining to the BU are issued to them.
-Maintain a register and distribute a status of QA/QC personnel in and out of the country advising on their planned and actual vacation return dates
-Coordinate all QA/QC inductions for project personnel categorized as foreman and above.
-Carry out all QA/QC inductions for all Business Unit Office Functional staff as required, maintaining records of their inductions
-Assist and advise wherever necessary in relation to the QA/QC implementation including the closure of NCR’s and IN’s
-Provide support and guidance for all QA/QC staff in relation to the execution of their duties
-Attend all necessary meetings as required, at project, business unit and regional level.
-Participate actively in the continued development and improvement of the IMS system
-Maintain overall business unit logs for NCR’s, Customer feedback etc.
-Coordinate and follow up with auditor’s to establish if corrective and preventive actions are being implemented and maintained.
-Prepare and issue Monthly reports and issue to regional, ensuring that any reports generated on a BU is copied to the respective Business Unit Representative in the Business Unit.
-Ensure that all unresolved issues are followed up with the appropriate parties and where necessary elevated to regional level.
-Act as the facilitator in relation to providing copies of international standards to projects personnel
-Support the tendering process when requested
-When requested carry out Audits of subcontractors and material/equipment vendors
-Recommend and Initiate training for QA/QC department Personnel
-Liaison with Client QA Representatives
-Develop where necessary Level 2 documentation pertaining to the QA/QC department and assist other department heads when they are developing similar procedures.
-Carry out annual trend analysis of audit findings and utilizing the findings communicate to all concerned parties the corrective action plans
-Carry out employee evaluations at the time of contract renewal and propose revisions to their contract for renewal.
-Recommend, Approve, Participate or Decline in the activities as defined in the QA/QC Lines and Limits of Authority.
-Comply with all Project HSE requirements i.e. PPE, work Permits etc.
-Promote the use HSE practices
-Any other adhoc duties as assigned from time to time
EDUCATION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Degree in Engineering with minimum 10 to 15 years experience in Refinery / Petrochemical / Oil & Gas Construction Projects.
-Shall be fully conversant with applicable Industry Standards and Specifications Computer literate, familiar with proprietary administration software.
-Good interpersonal skills. Good communicator.
-Maintain a good standard of written and spoken English
-Have demonstrated knowledge and training in the ISO-9000 Series international standards, or equivalent
-Gulf / Aramco experience shall be an advantage / preferred.
