Educational Background:
-B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engg) or equivalent in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering. Registered as Chartered or Incorporated Engineer through relevant institution.
-Relevant Qualification in Inspection Practices and Control.
-Relevant Training / Certification in computer applications.
Experience:
-Minimum of 10 years experience in Oil and Gas Industry.
-Minimum of 10 years experience in the Inspection / Corrosion field.
-Minimum of 5 years experience in operations of Inspection Management System and Corrosion Monitoring system.
Primary Purpose of the Job:
-To direct and oversee the successful operation of the IMS and RBI systems. Provide support and guidance for the development and operation of the Inspection Management System and Risk Based Inspection System. Make decisions on scheduling of equipment based on RBMI results.
-To promote standardization and utilization of the Corporate IMS and RBI systems within QP.
-To prepare and maintain long and short-term plans based on the business requirements and the available resources in the users areas.
Principal Accountabilities:
-Monitor the Inspection Management System and RBI performance and prepare recommendations for improvement.
-Maintain and control the various system tables, parameters and databases required in the operation of the system.
-Rationalise and standardise the interfaces with other computer systems in use and maintain the systems documentation.
-Identify and recommend the solutions for business issues such as further system investment and modification. Advise and rectify system and business issues via troubleshooting. Implement and manage a complete digital Asset reference document and standards library to enable online support for the system users.
-Maintain and support networking issues (e.g. Users access, file organization, system related e-mail administration, back-up and recovery.
-Supervises the activities of the Information System, Senior Technicians and contractor staff when assigned.
