A leading Construction & Maintenance Company involved in Refinery / Petrochemical / Oil & Gas Projects in Qatar.
Job Description:
OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)

General
The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control, HSE requirement throughout its life cycle. The Project Manager for this position shall have extensive experience and exposure in executing Waste Water Treatment Plants both in green field and brown fields. He shall have knowledge of all applicable codes, standards etc. and shall be well versed in the engineering requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
-Direct and manage project development from start to end.
-Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
-Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
-Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
-Liaise with project stakeholders (including Licensor, Detailed Engineering contractor, Client, Company top management) on an ongoing basis.
-Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
-Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
-Where required, highlight to HOD for the acquisition of required personnel from within the -company.
-Determine and assess need for additional staff /workers and recommend for appropriate requirements if necessary during project cycle.
-Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
-Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
-Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
-Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
-Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
-Track project milestones and deliverables.-Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, requirements documentation, and presentations as required.
-Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas.
-Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
-Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
-Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
-Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
-Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful project elements.
-Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
-Support Estimation department wherever required.
Liaise with the client and any statutory agencies for project handover as required.
-Coordinate with all concerned for periodical invoicing to maintain project cash flow.
-Follow up with client/ consultant for approvals and payments.
-Provide and support Procurement department with technical inputs for procurement process and also to develop vendors.
 
Qualifications:
-Minimum 15 to 20 years of hands on experience in executing industrial waste water engineering projects.
-Proven Project Engineering and Project Management skills.
-B.Tech in Civil, Chemical or Mechanical engineering.
-Experience with Design/Build Projects desirable.
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential.
-Ability to mentor junior staff.
-Membership with appropriate professional bodies preferred.
-The selected candidate will be responsible for executing senior-level engineering and project management tasks on the awarded waste water treatment project.
-The ideal candidate is a Sr. Project Engineer or Project Manager with strong technical experience in study, planning, design, and construction of industrial waste water treatment systems.
-Expertise in a broad range of engineering associated with waste water treatment, including physical, chemical and biological treatment processes/technologies, hydraulics, piping, pumping and other mechanical systems is required.
-Successful candidates will manage multiple projects and must also be able to support marketing and proposal efforts for future tenders, as appropriate.
