Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience
-Bachelors Degree, in any field of Engineering with 15 years of experience and good knowledge of planning. Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
-At least 7 years hand-on experience in the field of Planning / tenders & contracts administration.
-High degree of proficiency in Primavera – latest edition. 
-High degree of proficiency in MS Office applications and its updates.
-Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
-Excellent knowledge of Planning and Scheduling.
-Experience in Middle East is an advantage.

Primary Purpose of the Job
Responsible for the planning aspect of projects and services within Dukhan Operations. Review and monitor the progress of all project and ensure that planned progress are realistic for monitoring purposes. Review the weekly and monthly project planning reports submitted by contractors and highlight areas of concerns including project delays to concerned Job Officer and the Contract Engineer so that reminders and delay notices are timely issued as necessary. Review the monthly work valuation report for all projects in collaboration with the site Quantity Surveyor and ensure that monthly SESs are prepared. 

Principal Accountabilities
-Reviews planning packages submitted by bidders for bid evaluation of a project and ensure that bidders submitted realistic planning packages for the project.
-Attend Kick off meeting of all projects and highlights the planning requirements for the project and ensure that the contractors understand their responsibilities with regard to project planning.
-Establish the basis of project progress measurement and the frequency of project progress measurement.  Review the CPN network (based on Primavera), project bar chart schedules, project “S” curve, manpower histogram, project material procurement status report. Review project actual and planned man hours and establish project efficiency. 
-Attend weekly progress/review meeting of all projects and highlight areas of concerns. Review the weekly and monthly project planning update prepared and submitted by the contractors. Highlight areas of concern and request contractor to submit revised plan as necessary.
-Highlight project delays to Job Officer and BSC to ensure that necessary actions including reminders and default notices are issued as necessary and the implication on LD is timely addressed.
-Visit project sites and assess physical project progress and check availability of resources. Review and endorse the monthly project work valuation report prepared by the contractor in collaboration with Job Officer and site QS. The work valuation report shall be the basis of all SES. 
-Prepare the weekly project status report of all ongoing projects highlighting the actual project progress against plan, contract scheduled completion date Vs forecast completion date and progress percentage Vs percentage of SES processed and the progress % achieved for the week.
-Review contract work change request including amendment to contract duration. Review project close out report, completion certificate and discharge certificate.
-Maintain project file in soft copy to file all document pertaining project planning including  work valuation report, project man hours report, MOM of weekly progress report, “S” curves, manpower histogram, bar chart schedules etc.
-Assist Head of Budget and Cost Control in the preparation of yearly budget requirements related to on-going contracts. Provide project schedules for budget phasing purposes and for establishing the budget carry over’s. Provide the basis for calculating Value of Work Done (VOWD) for manual accrual purposes as necessary.
