Job Purpose:
IMG Worlds are looking for a dynamic and energetic Retail Assistant to join our pre-opening team, to provide support to the Retail Team Leader to ensure a comprehensive service is delivered to the business and key deliverables are achieved.
Main responsibilities:
Provide daily support to guests on the floor by providing advice, recommending products, answering queries and attempting to make sales.
Provide a professional, efficient and flexible service at all times as per company standards to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.
Description/ Key Result Areas:
Operational efficiency:
-Greet all guests who enter the Retail Store and answer their queries.
-Assist guests to find the products or goods they require.
-Support and give advice on product selection.
-Support sales by attempting to make sales or upsell.
-Ensure up to date knowledge of products.
-Keep up to date with special promotions and displays.
-Assist the Team Leader in marketing and promoting brand recognition.
-Assist the Team Leader with checking the inventory in the store.
-Memorize items available in store and where items are displayed.
-Offer demonstrations of the store’s products.
-Ensure the store areas and floor is kept clean and tidy at all times.
-Ensure incoming merchandise is checked in terms of quality and quantity and processed as required.
-Ensure shelves are adequately stocked.
-Operate store equipment, such as cash registers.
-Work on the cash register to process sales (cash, debit or credit card transactions).
-Balance cash registers with receipts.
-Deal with customer refunds.
-Attach price tags to merchandise on the shop floor.
-Assist the Team Leader in marketing and promoting brand recognition.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Qualifications
-High school completion
Knowledge:
-Understanding of Retail Operations and consumer behavior
-Sales techniques
-Broad understanding of the retail environment
-Inventory techniques
Preferred:
-POS, Cash register
Experience:
6 months to 1 year retail experience
Preferred:
Experience gained in a retail or hospitality industry.
