Job Purpose:
IMG Worlds of Adventure are looking for a dynamic and focused Kitchen Maintenance Technician to join our team, to carry out repairs and maintenance on various types of Kitchen equipment reporting to the Team Leader, to ensure a comprehensive service is delivered to the business and key deliverables are achieved.
Main responsibilities:
-The Technicians main purpose will be to provide pro-active maintenance to keep all kitchen equipment functioning, including chillers, freezers, refrigerators, cooking ranges, industrial ovens, dish washers, extraction systems and running at optimum efficiency and limit the number of breakdowns.
-Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of food service or kitchen equipment. Addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns.
Description/ Key Result Areas:
Operational Efficiency & Responsibilities:
-Support the Kitchen Maintenance Team Leader in day-to-day tasks.
-Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance to kitchen equipment throughout all F&B facilities at IMG Worlds of Adventure.
-Participate in the performance review of equipment downtime.
-Have a hands-on approach for the maintenance and repair all kitchen plant and equipment.
-Feedback information on tasks carried out and parts used to maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts and maintenance history of kitchen plant and equipment.
-Discuss all maintenance issues with other Kitchen Maintenance Technicians and the Kitchen Maintenance Team Leader.
-Respond to Kitchen equipment faults and issues ensuring a high standard of repairs is completed in a timely manner.
-Carry out the maintenance program, with an emphasis on PM tasks and repairs and ensure they have been completed correctly to a high standard.
-Monitor the operation of kitchen facilities, equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and to identify opportunities for improvement.
-Make recommendations for improving kitchen facilities or equipment; reduce operating costs and solving maintenance-related problems.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Qualifications:
High school (technical subjects)
Preferred:
Certificate/ Diploma in a technical field (Electrical, Mechanical Engineering etc.)
Knowledge:
-Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, gas and industrial refrigeration systems and QC.
-Knowledge of kitchen equipment, extraction equipment, lighting and plumbing is a requirement.
Experience:
-At least 3 years’ maintenance experience
-Kitchen equipment repair experience is essential
Preferred:
5 years’ Kitchen equipment repair and maintenance experience
